Today Calvin had two requests. One, was the outstanding Friday request--Slushie day (penny an ounce at the gas stop--no it doesn't matter that we are coming off a cold spell of -20 the last few days). Two, was to go to the zoo (again, it doesn't matter that we are coming off a cold spell.).
Since the weather has improved to a repectable 10-20 degrees today and we have a season pass to the zoo which has a nice indoor collection of mounted specimens, both requests were honored. Today the favorite animal was the walrus. And as it so happened one of the choices for movie night was Little Mermaid II--which features a brave young walrus. What can I say, he's my son.
